Hello! My name is Melanie Wehrmeyer. I live in southwest Ohio. I just graduated high
school this year in 07'. I will be attending community college in the spring for either nursing or criminal justice.
I have not decided yet! lol :)
I started in 4h at the age of 13 with 2 rabbits. It just grew from there and now I have about
a 30 hole rabbitry. I really enjoy showing a raising new litters. I really don't ever see myself being without
rabbits.
Besides the rabbits I also have dogs, goats and horses. I have a black male Standard Poodle named
"Lance". He is the best dog ever. He was my 4h dog and he never let me down. I also have a female Golden
Retriever named "Rumor". She was bought to show in AKC shows. I did for a little while, but decided to keep her
home as she has some growing up to do. Then I have "Turner". She is a blue roan English Cocker Spaniel.
She is a firecracker! She never stops. But thats what cockers do! lol She was also bought to show
but developed an underbite. :( She is just my pet now.
I currently have 3 boer goat does. I just recently got into them. I never really liked goats
much, but the boers I do. 2 are bred and due to kidd in march and april. I will also be showing market wethers
for my last year in 4h next year. I am really excited.
As for horses I have 2 Appaloosas. "Elli" is an 11 year old leopard mare. She is great!
You can put any kid on her and she is so good with them. She is an awesome easy to be around horse. "Apache" is
a 7 year old frosted red roan gelding. He is absolutly gorgeous! I love his solid build. He is greenbroke
now, hopefully next spring I can start working with him more and get him riding good.
